10 Thoughts on Episode 4 of Insecure

10 Thoughts on Episode 4 of Insecure

Sunday came and blessed us with another hilarious episode of Insecure. Here's my spoiler filled recap on episode 4, Hella LA.

1. It's a Process

Don't Issa know that getting ready takes time? And based off of Molly's style this season she should know! Molly is seriously serving us flawless looks this season- HEAD TO TOE! Shoutout to this season's costume designer because I need Molly's wardrobe, like yesterday... and the contact to her wig provider.

2. Single Issa

Issa wishes she was about that life. Look, it's fine if you can't successfully "hoe." Some things are not meant for everyone. Sorry, not sorry. When I go to Kiss and Grind- type parties, I often go with high expectations of "building my roster" and leave hella disappointed. The prospects are subpar. However, if you can get a table full of cheap drinks and don't have to share with some "Fashion Nova a** b***h," It's a win.

3. The Police Stereotyping...Nothing New

Of course the police stopped the black guy even though there were other cars making that illegal U-turn. What else is new? It's a shame Lawerence had to change the music he was listening to just so that he won't be judged. It's also a shame that the officer didn't soften his tone until he realized Lawerence was educated. But like I said...nothing new.

4. Heyyy Daniel!

I was one of those girls who DID NOT like Daniel. Like at all. He was an agent of destruction. But I see with brand new eyes this season and he is looking mighty fine. That smile is everything and I'm afraid I have to say I'm rooting for this to work out.

5. Just Shaking My Head

If I was on the line at the grocery store and the man in front of me forgot his wallet, he would be told to keep it pushing. I would not, i repeat WOULD NOT, cover his bill of $46.92. I got stuff and things to do and you sir are holding up the line. Stick that dumdum in your mouth and go find your wallet. But that wasn't the case with Becky #1 and #2. Nope. It's a White Thirst Trap and Lawerence fell right in.

6. Ew, Why Is He So Judgmental?

Homeboy came on a Tinder date hella judgmental. It's a Tinder date!! You're lucky you didn't walk into a Catfish situation, Felix. He was so pressed about her hair change and the sound of her voice and didn't even give her a chance. Felix was unnecessarily rude and deserved a drink in his face. And to top it off, Daniel witnessed the shade and I couldn't be more embarrassed for Issa.

7. I Called It!

I knew Dro and his wife were fishy. Molly, Molly, Molly. You better not fall for Dro's married a**. Yes, he and his wife are in an open relationship but they are still married. If you do not plan on getting married and having a family of your own any time soon, then by all means pursue that. But...if you want to be more than a married man's booty call, exit stage left, there's nothing there for you. I know Molly did not turn down a SZA concert with Sterling K. Brown for this mess.

8. I Can't.

My jaw was literally to the ground throughout this mess of a threesome. The threesome was not the shocking part. The way these women spoke to Lawrence was what threw me all the way off. I knew this was a GET OUT situation from the parking lot when one of the girls said "drank" and then said he looked like Craig (all black people don't look alike.) I guess they wouldn't know because to them, black is black. When the Brunette proclaimed her love for the black D, the fetish alarm went off. It is one thing to have a preference and another to have a fetish. These women started listing off the black men they slept with and I was so disgusted. To all my brothers out there, please recognize when someone likes you and when you're just a check off of their bucket list. Poor Lawerence. I bet you didn't think that being "in these streets" would lead you to feeling used. These women are living in their "hoe phase" and Lawerence, you are not about that life.

9. He Want That Old Thing Back

If Issa truly moves on (she won't), I wouldn't blame her. Lawerence said he was done. Guys!! Be honest with your feelings! Be up front about it and don't pretend to not care or be over the situation because of your fragile male ego. Issa cheated and she was wrong for that but Lawerence denying his feelings for her was a mistake. According to the male rule book, men can cheat and women can't and based on that foolish idea, Lawrence is not supposed to take Issa back. Now look at you, Lawerence, parked in front of The Dunes feeling used, thinking about your ex, while she's at a restaurant gawking at the man she cheated on you with. Tragic.

10. It's a Cheat Day.

Kelly is crazy. That's all I have to say.
